The first iteration of a retrofitted standard issue apparel from the early days of Mangkupurba’s establishment in the 1980s. A functional piece of clothing directly lifted from the paleontological research of the neural spine of a Spinosaurid; an elongated vertebral processes that supported a large, sail structure on its back. Adapted to the human anatomy, the apparel focuses on emphasizing its pattern stitching on human spines; centering it to hold the garment together. Making a clear side seam creating a draping; flowing silhouette for all-around activities fitting.

The vision for this apparel was to mimic the visual identity of Mangkupurba, the three-shaped ovals based on the anorbital fenestra, orbit & temporal fenestra found in most theropod skulls laid in print on each of the shoulders; joined by the asymmetrical paneling mimicking the silhouette of a gaping jaw & the bird-like theropod death pose.
